Gary Damico is a Partner at Evans Law, leading the firm’s transactional real estate practice. With over a decade of diverse legal experience, Gary is a recognized authority in both residential and commercial real estate law in the Annapolis area. He specializes in a wide array of real estate transactions, including commercial acquisitions, residential development, and home improvement agreements.
A proud Baltimore native, Gary holds degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He began his legal career at a boutique criminal defense firm in Baltimore, honing his skills in legal writing and advocacy. In 2014, he established his own practice, litigating in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland before joining Evans Law in 2019.
Gary’s commitment to excellence has earned him multiple accolades, including being named one of the area’s Up & Coming Lawyers by What’s Up? Annapolis and a five-time recipient of the Maryland Super Lawyers designation in the Real Estate category.
What sets Gary apart is his ability to form genuine connections with each client, ensuring tailored legal solutions that meet individual needs. He has been the trusted general counsel for a diverse portfolio of clients in the construction and property management sectors, including custom home builders and real estate investors.
Under Gary’s leadership, Evans Law has seen significant growth from 2019 through today, including a projected increase in client acquisition from 86 in 2019 to ~230 in 2023, staff growth from three to eight, and a five-fold increase in firm revenue. He has also been instrumental in organizational improvements, from client onboarding to internal communications systems.
When not serving his clients, Gary is actively involved in philanthropic organizations, such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and is the presiding Anne Arundel County Circuit Representative of the Young Lawyers Section Council for the Maryland State Bar Association.
Gary resides in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood with his wife Emily and their toddler Emmett.
