Gary Damico
Partner
Chair, Transactions Group
Since joining Evans Law in 2019, Gary Damico has quickly established himself within the practice and the greater Annapolis community as an authority in residential and commercial real estate law. His breadth of career experiences over the past 10 years, combining real estate, litigation, and entrepreneurship, as well as his strength in forming personal connections with each of his clients, make him uniquely suited to his work with Evans Law, where he heads the transactional real estate practice.
A Baltimore native, Gary is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Baltimore School of Law. His career began at a boutique criminal defense firm in Baltimore, which gave him experience in legal writing and advocacy, before he established his own practice in 2014 and continued litigating throughout the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland. It was ultimately in 2019 that Gary followed his calling to the transactional side of the law at Evans Law, and he knew he had found his place in the legal industry.
When he isn’t working directly with clients, Gary lends a hand to legal and philanthropic organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, Habitat for Humanity, and Single Carrot Theatre (where his wife is the Executive Director!). In 2021, Gary was named one of the area’s Up & Coming Lawyers by What’s Up? Annapolis, and is a five-time recipient of the Maryland Super Lawyers designation in the Real Estate category.
Gary lives in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood with his wife Emily and toddler Emmett. When there is time, he frustrates himself with golf.
