I grew up on a farm in Dorchester County, Maryland near the town of Vienna along the Nanticoke River. There, I attended North Dorchester High School, where I was a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society, and was a captain of the baseball and soccer teams. I then attended college nearby at Salisbury University where I received my dual bachelor’s degree in Communications and History. I then headed south and attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and was an Editor of the Business Law Review and received the CALI award for academic excellence in Broker-Dealer regulation.
After law school, I returned home and successfully became a member of the Maryland Bar. I attended the University of Maryland for my L.L.M. and interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission. I have practiced primarily as a civil litigation attorney in various courts across the state of Maryland. My primary practices have been complex contract disputes and various tort claims.
I am a member of the Maryland State Bar as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my friends and family, Maryland seafood, and local sports.
